A Mother

A little soul sat in God’s lap. She had many fears and questions, for she was about to embark on a long journey.

She asked, ‘Will you come with me?’

God replied, ‘No, I cannot.’

‘I am afraid to go down and live all alone.’

‘You are not alone. There is one who will carry you in her womb. She will be there with you from the very first moment that you are created.’

‘I will be weak and small.’

‘She will nurse you and make you strong’

‘I will fall sick.’

‘She will spend many sleepless nights taking care of you.’

‘What if I fall?’

‘She will be there to hold you and give you the courage to face life’s struggles.’

‘What if I misbehave and go in paths not good for me?’

‘She will discipline you and guide you.’

‘Will I hurt her?

‘Yes, you will. She will love you no matter what.’

‘Will she leave me?’

‘She will never abandon you. She will be just a thought away.’

‘Looks like ‘she’ is as good as you.’

‘Oh, she is better than me.’

The little soul jumped down from God’s lap and declared, ‘I am ready to start my journey and meet ‘she’.

God smiled and replied, ‘she’ is called a ‘Mother’

This blog is my time capsule, which allows me to travel back in time. Twenty years from now, I want to scroll down my blog list, pick a random blog and be amused by the post. If we have time machines in 2034, then I can type in the exact day of the blog and press the magic button, to transport me to those 'good old days'. That is the grand plan. Psst..don't let out this little secret of ours.
